ADVANCED MICROSURGICAL TECHNIQUES FOR NATURAL AND LONG-LASTING RESULTS

My emphasis has always been on quality of the final result and patient safety. To achieve this, we always work as a team of two experienced micro-surgeons during every patient’s surgery. This effort significantly shortens the time spent under anaesthesia and ensures the safest possible conditions and ease of recovery for the patient. Although enough time is taken to optimise each step of the procedure, our 12-years statistics showed that we were able to cut down the free flap reconstruction time to under three hours in average, while preserving a very high (exceeding 98%) success rate of tissue transfer. Oncological part of surgical treatment (mastectomy) is always done by board certified  oncologic surgeons from Institute of Oncology Ljubljana.

With long legacy and hundreds of satisfied women our team preferentially uses the state-of-the-art autologous breast reconstruction techniques referred to as perforator flaps. Regarded as a complicated procedure by some, in our hands, it reliably recreates the breast that is warm and living and once healed, stays stable for life.

The breast reconstruction team includes highly trained nurses and physical therapists to ensure optimal postoperative care and comfort. Our accredited facility meets strict international standards for equipment, operating room safety, personnel and surgeon credentials. Our aim is to provide the highest quality of breast reconstructive service to the local and international community.

By continually expanding our knowledge and implementing novel techniques we are finding ways to perform this high volume surgery even better. We are continuously pioneering and contributing to the new and advanced techniques of breast reconstructions to further improve the results of our quest.
